Welcome to the Ramsalt experience!

From a derelict and inaccessible district to a magnet for residents and visitors. The promenade in Bodø has already undergone a total transformation, and with RAW it will soon be raised to a new level!

What were previously forgotten and disjointed urban spaces have in recent years taken shape as a coherent and identity-creating destination. Ramsalt is now a confident, vibrant and attractive part of the cityscape, where the common thread is high-quality public-oriented offers, opportunities and experiences.

Through the floating meeting place RAW, Hundholmen Byutvikling is taking the entire district to a new level and making Ramsalt a unique destination.

It is Hundholmen Byutvikling who leads the developement of the new district. A development that started with the Ramsalt housing project has organically grown to become much more. When the Choice chain opened its brand new hotel on the quayside in 2021, it adopted the name 'Ramsalt'. The result is Quality Hotel Ramsalt with 250 rooms, meeting and event capacity for 800 people, the city's largest conference hall and the bar and restaurant concepts Bar X and The Social Bar & Bistro.

In record time, Ramsalt has established itself as a natural location for both well-established successful restaurants and innovative dining concepts. Today you can choose between Olivia (Italian), Brasilia (self-explanatory) and Txaba (tapas and wine bar). A unique part of the experience is the continuous, glazed outdoor seating along the quayside, which allows visitors to enjoy wet and dry from the restaurants' menus close to the natural surroundings. Regardless of the weather.

Soon, a whole new dimension will be added to the district, by adding floating docks that expand the activity from Sjøgata, to the promenade and all the way out into the salty water.
